Hi Kim, Went yesterday to our local fine arts museum in San Francisco to see an exhibit called "Japanesque" (here's the link if interested " legionofhonor.famsf.org " ) which shows the influence Japanese prints had on Impressionism. I applaud you in up holding this remarkable art form. I'll be watching you :-)

The carving techniques and tools are Japanese, but they are printed using a Western woodblock proofing press.
